THE SANDSTONE CHAPEL

Stone transforms a space - creating a rich, rustic atmosphere and a sense of strength and permanence – the perfect setting for declaring your love and saying “I Do…” Every stone in this chapel has been carved using the same techniques used 100 years ago. The sought-after stones speak of workmanship, attention to detail and superior quality. The chapel can comfortably seat up to 120 guests on wooden benches OR weather permitting, your ceremony can also take place in the beautiful gardens! Seating on white, padded Wimbledon chairs.

THE LAWN

The Lawn at Rosendal Country Retreat offers a picturesque outdoor ceremony setting framed by sweeping mountain views and the natural tranquillity of the Rosendal landscape. Perfectly positioned beside the canapé area, this space allows guests to flow seamlessly from the ceremony into the celebrations. Your loved ones will be seated on elegant white Wimbledon chairs, creating a classic and timeless atmosphere that highlights the beauty of the surroundings. It’s an idyllic spot for couples who want an outdoor ceremony that feels intimate, scenic, and effortlessly refined.

THE LOUNGE

The Lounge is part of the original building, and is the ideal space to enjoy mouth-watering canapés and drinks from our diverse menu. This is the perfect space to cut your wedding cake and spend some time with your guests before you leave for your photoshoot. The space is extremely cosy with a fireplace, couches, tables and chairs. The stoep offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

THE GALLERY

This old shed has been transformed into a modern glass and steel reception venue with ample light streaming in from all sides and rolling mountain views on show from every angle. The backdrop of the bar features a custom tile installation by Wolkberg Casting Studios.

THE BALLROOM

Originating as a cheese factory many years ago, the larger one of our two venues is the perfect space for hosting a wedding reception for up to 120 guests.

It features a grand sandstone fireplace and thousands of fairy lights – creating a magical, moody ambience!

It also boasts a cosy lounge adjacent to the bar, as well as a patio with mesmerising mountain views.
